About Davis Koh
Davis Koh, PT, DPT, MBA, GCS, CSCS, is a sports and orthopedic physical therapist with over 25 years of experience. His work divides between treating patients, teaching other clinicians, and supporting athletes on medical teams.

Dr. Koh founded KOH Physical Therapy Lab (opens in a new tab), where he continues to treat patients. His professional focus is hands-on care: soft tissue mobilization, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilization, combined with exercise science.
He teaches those same methods to physical therapists and other clinicians through continuing education, and he is regularly invited to speak at universities and professional conferences.

Clinical career
Sports and orthopedic physical therapy
Early in his career, Dr. Koh was a staff physical therapist at UCLA Medical Center before completing an Orthopedic Residency Program with Kaiser Permanente. His experience spans orthopedic, sports, geriatric, cardiac and neurological rehabilitation, as well as pelvic health.
He is a nationally Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, which reflects years of work with age-related conditions alongside his practice with athletes.

Teaching and education
Instructing clinicians
While at USC, Dr. Koh served on faculty as a Teaching Assistant in Orthopedics. He has taught continuing education to clinicians nationwide ever since, and today leads education at AQuire (opens in a new tab), where he authored the Joint Thrust Techniques, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Fascia Matrix courses.
He has served as President of the USC Physical Therapy Alumni Association and on the program advisory boards of physical therapist assistant programs. He is a member of the APTA Specialization Academy of Content Experts (SACE).

Dr. Koh has served on medical teams for Team USA, working with the U.S. Olympic Training Centers in San Diego and Colorado Springs and traveling internationally with athletes. He was part of the Team USA medical team for the Pan-American Games and has served on medical teams for professional beach volleyball and action sports events.

Speaking and consulting
Dr. Koh has been an invited speaker at physical therapy and sports medicine programs, including USC, UC Irvine and Columbia University, and at conferences of the California Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He was a commencement speaker for the USC physical therapy graduating classes of 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Within the medical-legal field, Dr. Koh has served as an expert witness in litigation for universities, national skilled nursing facilities and the government, as well as for many private cases. He accepts inquiries from attorneys and organizations about expert-witness engagements.
